The three easy steps to heal your judgement against yourself today

Have you been smothering a part of your true self?

This is your moment to heal your judgement against yourself or perceive hidden aspects of your nature.

In your childhood your initial connection with yourself has been built. On this foundation your connection to your current self has been developed and adapted through experience and observation of your surroundings. Since the first few years of your life, parents, siblings, friends, incidents and even words or sayings have been influencing you constantly.

What is Conditioning

Conditioning:

“the manner in which specific types of experience make certain behaviors more or less probably.”

Among some helpful and even essential beliefs you might have been internalizing a few toxic ones. So you have been conditioned. But this is not set in stone! You are able to recondition and free yourself from beliefs, which are holding you back. Start now!

Step one: Reflect

The first step to your reawakening will be to reflect certain behaviors of yours. Think of situations in your life, where you act out of scarcity and fear.

Perhaps you hesitate to ask for help, because you are afraid of burdening someone. Maybe you avoid the beach in summer, because you think only thin women are allowed to feel good in their body. You might shave your legs, only because you have been told to do so. Was it your mother or teacher, who made you feel like you never achieved enough?

Make sure you take notes, of all those beliefs which are holding you back. The following list contains a few of the most common ones.

  • I’m not ready yet.
  • I have to manage this on my own, nobody will help me.
  • Everybody laughs at me.
  • Men only want sex.
  • I will never achieve anything.
  • This will never work.
  • Life is tough.
  • People think less of me, as soon as I make a mistake.
  • Nobody wants you.
  • You are not important.
  • Don’t be so selfish.
  • You are not good enough.
  • Don’t trust anyone.
  • Showing emotions is weak.
  • Money is filthy.
  • Making money is hard.
  • I’m not attractive.
  • I’m not worthy to be loved/respected.
  • I’m incompetent.
  • I’m not allowed to speak one’s mind.
  • I mustn’t trouble people with my problems.
  • I don’t have enough time.
  • I’m just not lucky.
  • I can only be loved, if I work hard.
  • Never show weakness.
  • If I don’t work, I’m useless.

Well, did some of them resonate with your beliefs? Congratulation, you already managed to realize which beliefs are holding you back. This can be hard and it might even trigger you in some ways. But in order to recondition yourself you need to confront these toxic beliefs.

Step two: Rephrase

As a second step you are going to choose your most restrictive beliefs and write them down. Leave some space next to every sentence. You might want to choose a color that suits your feeling towards them.

Now you think of each belief individually. How can you change this belief’s meaning for the better? Rephrasing your beliefs will hopefully help you to internalize them. Have a look at my three examples and start with your own list now. YOU CAN DO THIS! 🙂

I mustn’t trouble people with my problems.

IT’S TOTALLY OKAY TO ASK FOR HELP!

I will never achieve anything. / I’m not good enough.

Step three: Internalize

From now on you will have to work with those colorful positive sentences. Perhaps you want to rewrite them on a nice paper, without the negative counterpart, so you could hang it on your vision board, on your front door, or next to your coffee machine, where you can see it frequently. You could even vocalize it as an affirmation every morning or before you go to bed.

This can help you to internalize and transcribe them in your mind. In this way, you contribute to your healing process. If you can leave those limiting beliefs behind, you will finally be able to move forward in this miraculous life of yours.

    I am 75 years going on 76 and I love what u wrote and have been to hell and back, and I want to create a vision board….I will do it on a bullentin board, and I will start soon, as we are under quaranteen…I am going to start living like I really really believe in myself..and stop being afraid to love myself like the Lord love me. I am going to love me so much, and be able to lose weight and not afraid to do what I can do for myself….like I really really matter to the world and to myself first, never knew what purpose I have or had…and I never expected to live to this age and not sure how I got here…never knew how to dream, as I was always afraid to dream…and did not know I was worth dreaming about any goals or purposes…Like I had no purpose but to survive, so I guess that is why I am still here. …I want to thrive, not just survive, and I have to learn how to do that..and stop being so mindless, as I know I am courageous, and some of moto is TAKE COURAGE..AND SO I WILL TAKE COURAGE AND CHANGE HOW I JUDGE MYSELF..AS THE LORD DOES NOT COMDEMN ME.
